Zinc Oxide is used in the production of smokes when it is commonly mixed with hexachloroethane. It is also the principle component of Calamine lotion. It's used as an additive and/or stabliser in numerous materials and products, including rubber compounds, ceramics, paints, inks, adhesives and pigments.
