LN2 evaporates very quickly for the first use. Due to the fact that liquid nitrogen does not require pressurization, it is a compact and readily transported source of dry nitrogen gas. Boiling and splashing always occur when filling a warm container with cryogenic liquid or when inserting objects into the liquid.
