Claisen adapters allow dual entry by the bottom inner joint to a reaction flask from parallel top outer joints, which are usually vertically staggered to allow use of a joint clip. Often at least one of the connections, usually the straight (lower) one, involves a condenser to make it a distillation adapter. The side arm might be attached to an addition funnel or something else that needs to be vertical. This is a particularly petite Claisen adapter, with narrow-bore tubing connecting the standard-taper joints, and a narrow spacing between the upper outer/female joints (32 mm center-to-center). While that could he just what your application requires, in some cases it could be a tight squeeze. We cannot find a comparable product currently sold by Corning, so we do not have a catalogue number, but it looks like a factory piece: it does not have the handmade look of a custom job by a home glassblower.
